SUMMARY:Ad-Lib
DESCRIPTION:At one’s pleasure\nConsidering the complex relationship between simulation\, hyperreality\, spontaneity and performance\, Ad-Lib is conceived as an extemporaneous act – a momentary coming together of expressions\, objects and moments.\nExploring the tension between spontaneous behaviour and crafted performance\, a collection of work across performance\, sculpture\, painting and sound are caught in the act – frozen as decoys that lure the real.\nAs we collectively navigate a world saturated with media\, signs and spectacle\, Ad-Lib looks to question what we know to be real and what we understand to be simulated\, and how the blurring of the two might be reconciled. If there is a loss of a genuine\, unmediated experience\, are there uncontrolled actions – can we be spontaneous? \n  \n \nOpening: 9th May 18:00-22:00 \nContinues 10th-25th May 2025\nOpening hours Thur – Sun 1200 – 1700 \nRob Branigan\, Jack Catling\, Erato Chatzisavva\, Kate Davis & David Moore\, Catherine Ferguson\, Rebecca Fortnum\, Luca George\, Matthew Galpin\, Giorgos Kontis\, Christina Mamakos\, Giannis Mitrou\, Liz Murray\, David Stearn\, Filippos Tsitsopoulos\, Julia Vogl\, Aaron Williamson\, Sharon Young \n  \n
