SUMMARY:Sakura Sound - An evening with Baddest Squid & Friends
DESCRIPTION:Baddest Squid was forged in the dawn sessions of Stockwell Skate Park aka Brixton Beach. The project is comprised of F£RG MON£Y (Perimeter Jam) on modular synthesis\, Chris Lartey on MPC beat making\, and Levin Pfeufer on wind instruments\, sub-bass and live mixing and dubbing.\nThe evening will evolve slowly over a two hour period. Within this longer time scale the audience will be encouraged to come and go as people feel. There will be opportunities to engage with the sonic space in a variety of ways. Attendees will be free to sit quietly or circulate\, move and dance during the performance. \nBaddest Squid and friends celebrate diverse narratives of sonic\, physical and visual storytelling. These will take performative form from a pallet including modular synthesis\, MPC beat making\, dubbing of wind and percussion instruments played real time\, spoken word\, movement and projected video art. \nContributing Performers : \nVoice – Clapmutt\, Layla\, Ivan\nSaxophone – Adrian\nGuitar – Chill Weng\nPercussion – Mike Perry\nCuttle’n’Flow Dance – Mika\, Melanie\, Katharina\nDJ – Buttr\nVideo art – 2 Digit Visuals \nEvent Schedule : \n6:30 pm = Doors open\n7:00 pm = Space setting\n7:30 pm = Soundscapes vs. Beats\n8:00 pm = Spoken word vs. Wind-dub\n8:30 pm = Resolution\n9:00 pm = Bass weight DJ set \nFree entry\, donations welcome. DESCRIPTION:INCAHOOTS\n17th April – 4th May 2025\nOpening and Private View: 17th April 6-10pm\n9 Contemporary fine artists\nPlus Spoken word & Live Music / Short Films Screenings / Artist Demos & Interviews \n  \n \nINCAHOOTS is an eclectic mix of fine art\, live music\, spoken word\, performances\, experimental film and artist interviews. \nTaking place at the XYZ gallery located on Grays Inn Road in London\, WC1\, this second edition of INCAHOOTS will showcase an eclectic lineup of 9 contemporary fine artists alongside evening events in an exciting and diverse mix of spoken word performances\, live music\, engaging artist interviews\, short film screenings\, theatrical read-throughs\, workshops and more\, all within this beautiful gallery space located in the heart of the city of London. \nINCAHOOTS intends to generate a sense of unification across different artistic forms of expression and generations.
