Sakura Sound – An evening with Baddest Squid & Friends

Baddest Squid was forged in the dawn sessions of Stockwell Skate Park aka Brixton Beach. The project is comprised of F£RG MON£Y (Perimeter Jam) on modular synthesis, Chris Lartey on MPC beat making, and Levin Pfeufer on wind instruments, sub-bass and live mixing and dubbing.

The evening will evolve slowly over a two hour period. Within this longer time scale the audience will be encouraged to come and go as people feel. There will be opportunities to engage with the sonic space in a variety of ways. Attendees will be free to sit quietly or circulate, move and dance during the performance.

Baddest Squid and friends celebrate diverse narratives of sonic, physical and visual storytelling. These will take performative form from a pallet including modular synthesis, MPC beat making, dubbing of wind and percussion instruments played real time, spoken word, movement and projected video art.
