Listings

Website listings are an important tool in your marketing
toolbox. A typical website for event listings already has an
established audience looking for events and things to do
within your field. We use a few specific listings for posting
our events and reaching a broader audience.
In your country and market, there will most certainly exist
national listings specifically targeting the local art
audience. Do yourself a favour and find these. In most
countries, a page like EventBrite is established and
well-known.

The Muse uses the following listings for our audience.

Broad Audience

  • Eventbrite
  • TimeOut

Art Audience UK

  • ArtRabbit
  • a-n
  • Seb’s Art List

There are many more free and paid options. Have a look in your
local area.

Tips & Tricks

Once you have done the research and picked a few listings you
are interested in, reach out to them and ask for free testing
periods or reduced prices for start-ups.

Much like with any other communication platform, make sure to
follow up and see if specific listings are working for you.
Check how many are visiting your profile on each specific
listing and ask people attending your openings or dropping by
your space where they first heard of you.
