Why Community?
The flagship model for the XYZ resource is a small UK gallery
nestled in the market streets of West London. The area of that
part of the city is a vibrant square mile that boasts a full
spectrum of socio economics and cultures in what can only be
described as one, if not the most ‘almost’ successful melt pots
on the planet. The pendulum swings from one of the poorest wards
in London, to some of the highest urban property values in the
UK. If there were ever a location to build a reflective surface,
it would be the Portobello Road. Art as a connection to a
collective consciousness feeds off diversity, infinite
perspectives and the discussions that come from differences as
well the echo chambers we seek for validation and a sense of
belonging.
In relation to XYZ, community is an important interface for your
endeavors. The location of your venture is pivotal to its
success. Opening your doors to community, factoring subsidized
space for community purposes into your business model, will
maintain traffic and allow the reach of your operations to
continue to grow beyond far beyond your marketing budget.
This is all immaterial if your venture as a XYZ pioneer is not
in west London, but it does present a series of questions that
may be worth considering for context.
